Men an Tol

Men an Tol is a small set of standing stones near Morvah This link opens in a new window. See the precise location here This link opens in a new window. Legend has it that passing through the stone will cure you of rickets. The stones are not well sign-posted from the road so if visiting ensure you know where you are going. The stone are a good 20-minute walk from the roadway. For more information on Men an Tol check out the Wikipedia page This link opens in a new window

Minack Theatre

The Minack Theatre This link opens in a new window is situated in Porthcurno - Cornwall, and is known as " Cornwall's Theatre Under The Stars". Rowena Cade, a lady with an inspired mind and vision, created the theatre having found a natural amphitheatre in the cliffs near her home, and funded it solely from its inception in 1931 until she died in 1983. The theare is currently programmed for at least one third of the year with productions ranging from Shakespeare to Gilbert & Sullivan.

Sennen Cove to Land's End

Having been warned that Land's End This link opens in a new window is over-touristified we were advised to head to Sennen Cove This link opens in a new window and walk the coast route to Land's End. Sure enough Sennen Cove is a quaint fishing village with a reasonable amount of tourist impregnation, however the walk over the cliffs to Land's End is quite stunning. En route we spotted the wreck of HMS Mulheim This link opens in a new window which ran aground on the cliffs in 2003. The scenery is spectacular for the 30-min walk over to Land's End.

St Michael's Mount

St Michael's Mount This link opens in a new window is that place we've all seen in our childhood where you have a castle sited on an island which is only reachable at certain times of day when the tide's out. Well had the weather been better I might have gotten some better pictures, but for now here are a couple of images - one of them obviously a stylized HDR image.
