Plymouth July 2005

Plymouth is a quaint wee seaside town which is the supposed site where the Pilgrims first came ashore to mainland US. These days it's good for two things: Ice Cream and Antique Shops. Yes for some bizarre reason Plymouth seems to be the Anitque shop capital of America. I got a photo of Plymouth Rock and my verdict on it is this: OVERRATED. And as you'll see from the below someone then went and built a temple structure around the thing. Hmmmm. I did however like the tongue-in-cheek tourist shops on the seafront which were doing a good trade selling small stones with "1620" written on them with black marker pen. Nice touch...
